Environmental Signage - JCCC 50th

Testimonial *May 2020*  Honor Issuer:
Tai Edwards, Ph.D. Director of Kansas Studies Institute

"The 50th anniversary of the founding of Johnson County Community College, Kansas Studies Institute coordinated a student-led project that involved researching the history of the college and then presenting that history in a series of installations. Briana Padilla was one of the Graphic Design students who single-handedly designed the most interactive of these installations. As a mother of young children, I was particularly impressed at the inclusivity of her design which could be viewed by people of all ages and abilities in an interactive way. Not only does it show the dynamic history of our college in an appealing visual manner, but it allows for you to truly see time pass while turning the piece. It has now become a staple of campus tours for new students joining us. Ms. Padilla is an exceptional designer and her work literally stands as a testament to this on one of the top-10 community college campuses in the nation."
